Lynx Central is CU Denver’s One-Stop Shop for enrollment services. As the front door of CU Denver, our aim is to create the most seamless enrollment process for all students. The Daily Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Lynx Central and as such will be expected to be on campus a minimum of four days of the five-day work week. This role will supervisor up to 6 enrollment specialists and ensure a seamless experience for students by ensuring the team is trained, up to date on policies and processes and serves students efficiently and effectively on the phones and in person.

What you will do:

  • Supervise up to six FTE positions and Work Study positions.
  • Responsible for the hiring and onboarding process, professional development, coaching on staff score cards and the evaluation process.
  • Manage the daily Coverage Calendar coordinate and manage coverage gaps.
  • Run reports and use the data to identify trends and predict coverage gaps/needs. 
  • Draft proposals requesting staffing support to help with coverage needs during the Fall and Spring start-up and other peak-times.
  • Oversee the Lynx Central inbox business process.
  • Oversee a Home Office Production Calendar
  • Develop messaging for staff to use to help manage student expectations.
  • Technical Lead for QLess, Phone System, working with OIT to resolve issues as needed, and overseeing process and generating recommendations as needed for hardware.
  • Oversee the Scanning/Indexing business process for all forms submitted at Lynx Central and will manage the quality assurance process and the process to archive forms.
  • Oversee the communications strategy for Lynx Central (banners/events/handout/posters/Instagram).
  • Serve as the point of contact to facilitate office orders including office supplies and other orders as needed through the university’s procurement process.

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

  • A Bachelors degree or a combination of education, customer service or related technical/paraprofessional experience.
  • Three (3) years in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field.

Substitution: A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Four (4) years in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field.
  • Previous experience working in enrollment services (admissions, financial aid, registrar, bursar, academic advising)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • One year of direct supervisor responsibility of the hiring and onboarding process, professional development, coaching on staff score cards and the evaluation process.

Conditions of Employment

  • Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
  • This position requires an onsite presence on campus at least 4 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position has been established at $69,972.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
